Thanjit Kaur is a Partner in the Disputes & Specialist Practice at Donaldson & Burkinshaw LLP and a member of the Healthcare Law Team and Technology and Data Protection Team.

Thanjit's practice spans civil and commercial litigation, medico-legal disputes, international arbitration and personal data protection. She has acted in a broad range of contentious matters before the High Court and State Courts, including commercial suits, medical negligence claims, shareholder disputes, employment disputes, debt recovery, tenancy disputes and construction matters.

In the area of international arbitration, Thanjit has assisted in proceedings under the auspices of the SIAC, LCIA, DIAC, and ICA, and has instructed foreign counsel on enforcement proceedings arising from arbitral awards. She has also acted in matters involving novel and complex issues in the digital assets space, including litigation, Mareva injunctions and winding-up applications arising from a decentralised data exchange protocol.

Thanjit has acted as lead counsel in Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Disciplinary Tribunal Inquiries and in Security of Payment Act (SOPA) matters representing subcontractors in construction payment disputes. She regularly advises and represents healthcare professionals in SMC complaints and disciplinary proceedings.

Beyond contentious work, Thanjit is experienced in advisory matters and providing practical legal solutions to businesses.

Thanjit graduated from the University of Leeds in 2018 with an LL.B (Hons.) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2020.
