Shyan Huey specialises in life sciences, with a focus in immunology, pathology, cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology. She is involved in drafting and prosecuting both local and overseas patent applications for clients.

Shyan Huey has been a patent scientist with an intellectual property firm and has professional experience in universities and start-up companies in Singapore and Switzerland, in research and teaching roles.

Her research work has been published in various international peer-reviewed platforms in the field of infection biology and cell biology. Shyan Huey has also presented at international conferences in Europe and USA.

Shyan Huey graduated from the University of Bristol, UK with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry,Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, and went on to complete a fast-track M.Sc. Molecular Biology from Biozentrum, University of Basel, Switzerland. She was later awarded the Fellowship of Excellence scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. in Microbiology at Biozentrum, University of Basel, Switzerland.
